Automated Material Handling System
Abstract:
Reconfigurable manufacturing systems refer to the ability to vary the manufacturing process such that customized products can be manufactured on a large scale.
Customization should not impair the production rate of any of the part assemblies. In this regard the tracking of the parts within the manufacturing cycle is important for ascertaining the location of parts within the cycle as well as the history of the completed parts.
This project outlines the development of a reconfigurable manufacturing materials handling system that uses Radio Frequency (RF) node based tracking system
The product is tracked through the manufacturing cycle so that customized operations can be carried out using a mass customization manufacturing process. In our project we are using the Micro-controller, RF Reader, and Serial level converter, Keyboard, RTC, LCD display.
Then at the receiver end receives that signals and displays LCD display monitor. The RF ID reader means for transferring power to an RF ID transponder for the purpose of charging any energy store.
The security network can contain more than one RF ID reader. In our project we are using the RF tags with reader to give the signal to the particular goods at machine. Every goods roller will have the RF cards for each goods.
