How To Speed Up Bit Torrent Downloads and Increase Internet Speed

         Today I'm gonna show you How to speed up the Bit Torrent Downloads.The options are almost similar for all torrent software's (u Torrent, Bit Torrents). The default settings doesn't satisfy our speed requirements.Here i gave you some tips to increase the download speed. Before start, you should know the current speed of your Broad band. To know the details just follow up my step by step procedures.

Steps to Speed Up Torrent Downloads:
 
  • Test your broad band speed  by Speed Test
  • First of all go to the right corner of that website and click Settings menu, then set the Speed Measurement parameter to Kilobits and click Save.

  • Click the Take a Speed Test.It will forward you to the testing page. On that page click Begin Test button to run the test
  • Then open the torrent program, go to Options > Preferences. Now select 'Bandwidth', Put the value on 'kB/s max upload speed' into the number for 'Maximum upload rate (kB/s).



  • Put the value of 'Max upload slots per torrent'  into 'Number of upload slots per torrent:'.
  • Put the value of 'Maximum number of connections per torrent' into 'Maximum number of connected peers per torrent:'.
  • Put the value of 'Maximum number of connections globally' into the number for 'Global maximum number of connections:'.
  • Then Select the 'Queuing' from menu.


  • Put the value of 'Max simultaneous downloads' into 'Maximum number of active downloads:'.
  • Put the value of 'Max active torrents' into 'Maximum number of active torrents.

  • After filling all the datas which was  collected from that website click the 'Advanced' menu.




  • Change the 'bt.allow_same_ip'  value into true. 
  • Change the 'dht.rate' value into 2.
  • Change the 'rss.update_interval' into 20.
  • After done this Click on 'Connection'.



  • At this connection window uncheck the 'Enable UPnP port mapping' and 'Randomize port each start'.

  • You have done all settings.Now just Click 'Apply' and then 'OK'.

    Now restart your torrent program by clicking on 'File' at the top left, and then click 'Exit'. Open your torrent program again, and it should boost your download speed.

Tips:

      The last but not least, one more step that can also increase the torrent download speed. For that right-clicking on torrent that's downloading, Select 'Bandwidth allocation' and set it into 'High'.
