Finger Print Identification Based Security System

Abstract:

        In recent years, biometrics technology is a hot topic. Biometrics technology is enhancing our ability to identify people. And a biometrics system allows the identity of a living person based on a physiological characteristic or a behavioral trait to be verified or recognized automatically.

         In security field, identity verification plays a basic role since it enables access to strategic places and resources to be controlled. Fingerprints are the most popular and studied biometrics features, their stability and uniqueness make the control system extremely reliable and useful for security applications.

        Attendance entry is the most important one in college, office and any working station. Many ways are available to register the attendance in automation. But most of it can be tampered. The finger print reading is a one way of registering the attendance in college, using the security of system can be improved.

Operation:

   Micro controller's interfaced with the Display Device like LCD, Keypad for user convenience. Memory is interfaced with the controller to store the thumb impression verification codes. RTC (Real Time Clock) is interfaced with the controller which is used to run the Date & Time and it will be displayed in the LCD.

    Thumb reader is interfaced with the Controller. Application software is loaded in System, and the daily register with the thumb impression are pre-defined in the software. If the man enters in the industry, he must ensure his thumb impression in the reader. If the impression matches, with the updated one he can enter otherwise his entry denied
