How to Enable / Disable Fast Startup in Windows 8
The windows 8 gets more popular by its fast boot up feature Windows 8. In this post I'm gonna show you that "How to turn on Fast start up in Windows 8 ". Actually it enables a feature called Fast Start up or Hybrid Shutdown by default itself. Hence it can load Windows 8 as quickly as possible. Its around 7 seconds on certain hardware. It performs a partial hibernation of kernel files and device drivers and doesn’t load all unnecessary stuffs in booting up.
How to enable FAST START UP feature in Windows 8:
- Click " Start " and Open " Control Panel " then Launch " Power Option "
- Select " Choose what the power button does " from " Power Option "
- Then scroll down and make " Turn on fast startup ( recommended)" is checked.
- If the Hibernate is not enabled in your computer then you can’t see " Turn on fast startup " option. Like the image below.
- To enable the Hibernate open " Start "--> click on " Run" as Administrator
- Type power cfg /hibernate on and hit " Enter ".
- If you like to Disable the Fast startup just uncheck on " Turn on Fast Startup " option.
All is done .Now fast startup feature along with Hibernation is enabled in your PC.
